For 15 years I worked on enterprise systems in C# and now I work in a team that builds casino games in JavaScript, Node & Java. When I’m not working with computers, I love taking my young family on holiday, fishing and mountain biking. Florin Nemțanu is a doctor of engineering, mobility expert of the Romanian Smart City Association and an associate professor at the Transport Faculty from Politehnica University of Bucharest. I am organizer of Robochallenge Romania, the largest annual robotic competition in Europe and one of the biggest in the World. I in the organization of this competition since the 1st edition when we had around 20 robots and 1 challenge. Now after 11 years we have 14 challenges, over 500 robots each year from over 15 countries all over the world.
Since 2007 I started building robots for competitions like Football, Mini Sumo, Mega Sumo. Whit the Mega Sumo robots I had the best results.
I am the coordinator of Flex Team since 2012. I am in charge with the mechanical part of the robots, design an implementation.
Together with my team we won a lot of competitions. We won 2nd place in the world in 2016 and 2018, 1st place in Europe in 2017 and 2018. Also we are National Champions for several years, we won a lot of competitions in Romania and Europe. Our goal is to win the 1st place in All Japan Robot-Sumo Tournament which is the world final in sumo robotics.
